Stuart Appleby to Wear Cross

Today some big named golfers are on the move and they have landed with Fairway Styles brands! Let’s start with Ryan Moore who has signed with Arnie, the new Arnold Palmer inspired brand from Quagmire Golf. As most know Ryan has his own unique style and has been brandless for quite some time so he could wear whatever he wanted to. The fact the he is now with Arnie I think says a lot about this new brand and where it is headed. Yes Arnie is coming to FairwayStyles.com.

Another big name on the move is Keegan Bradley who just signed with Tommy Hilfiger. Bradley is just off of a stellar 2011 season and is now a household name for us golfers. Since we just added Tommy Hilfiger as one of our new brands this move makes us very excited about Keegan Bradley joining the TH team. Bradley looks great in the brand and will get some good coverage to show it off.

Ogio, another one of our new brands for 2012, has signed Aaron Baddeley to wear Ogio’s new golf apparel collection. Aaron has a great sense of style and has been wearing pretty much anything he wanted to for the last couple of years which has included a lot of Travis Mathew and Sligo lately. Badds is a perfect golfer to start a new brand with.

Hollas and Sligo have also just added to their team of players. Hollas just announced that they have signed Spencer Levin and DJ Trahan to join Bryce Molder as brand ambassadors. Sligo just added a Nationwide graduate from Scotland named Russell Knox who placed 12 on the Nationwide tour in 2011 and racked up an impressive $242,821. Russell will join Brian Gay and Graham Delaet who both had strong showings in last week’s Sony Open.

DeLaet, a native of Weyburn, Sask., is on the comeback trail this year after missing virtually the entire 2011 PGA Tour season following back surgery. The 29-year-old enjoyed a successful rookie season on Tour in 2010, showing promise by earning $950,000 despite suffering from a bulging disc.

DeLaet joins three-time PGA Tour winner Brian Gay, Nationwide Tour winner Justin Hicks and prominent American golf instructor Jeff Ritter on the Sligo Wear professional staff.

IAN POULTER LOOKS GOOD IN HIS CLOTHES AS HE WINS THE VOLVO WORLD MATCH PLAY

Retailing from $79 and up, Arnie is set for three deliveries in 2012, each with a distinct aesthetic:

•1950s Collection (February) - During this period, Palmer showcased slim, clean-fitting clothes. His tops were distinguished by short plackets, small collars and shorter sleeves. Palmer tended to prefer his pants fitted and his outfits were often highlighted by the color red, which is exclusively found in the 1950s collection.
•1960s Collection (April) - When Palmer was dominating the competition, he was also looking the part. Wider legged pants, wider collars and longer shirt plackets were the style of the day. No golfer of the era looked as naturally cool as Palmer, especially in his staple color of blue, which is exclusively found in the 1960s collection.

WIN RICKIE FOWLER’S CUSTOM ORANGE PANTS!

Being a graduate of Oklahoma State it is no secret PUMA staff player Rickie Fowler likes orange. Dressing in full orange on the Sunday of every tour event you can imagine he goes through a lot of pants.

Since these were made for Rickie you will notice the embroidered PUMA Cat is much larger than it is on their normal pants available to the public. On these pants PUMA did not like the fact that the logo Cat was black, calling it a little “Halloweenish”. With all of the superstition surrounding a black cat, especially on orange pants, you can bet PUMA did not want these to make it to their star player.

So PUMA called us to see if we would like to give these away to one of our customers and obviously we told them we would love to. Since we have a lot of PUMA and Rickie Fowler fans we knew this would be a great giveaway.

Since these were made for Rickie the waist size is 32 and the inseam is an unfinished 35 with 4 inch side slits. As the winner you will be able to confidently tell your friends you are wearing Rickie Fowler’s pants!

TRAVIS MATHEW TEAM MEMBERS MAKE THEIR 2011 PGA TOUR DEBUT

With the first full field PGA tour event starting today at the Sony Open in Honolulu Chris Kirk, Peter Tomasulo and Kevin Chappell will make their debut on the PGA tour all wearing Travis Mathew apparel. All three have been wearing Travis Mathew clothing for some time now however it will be exciting to watch how they do on the big stage.

Travis Mathew got the chance to talk to all three players and here is what they said about their start:

Kirk: "I feel hungry and ready to go. After three years on the Nationwide Tour I’m very excited to get a chance to do some damage out here on the PGA Tour."

Tomasulo: "I’m just stoked to be golfing fully healthy again after sitting at home with a broken foot. I don’t think I’ve ever been as excited to start a season as this one. The combination of getting my tour card back, and having to sit out the last couple months with a broken foot has me really looking forward to this season, and starting it in Hawaii is a great place to start."

Chappell: “I will be excited, with just a little bit of nerves.”

CONGRATULATIONS TO RICKIE FOWLER

Rickie Fowler, 21, is the youngest PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year since Tiger Woods won the award in 1996 at the age of 20. Fowler played great all year and totaled seven top-10s in 28 starts. He was also a captains choice at the 2010 Ryder Cup in which he played well and made 2 of the most clutch puts I have ever seen in his closing round.

Not only did Rickie stand out in 2011 with his play you could not ignore the golf apparel he was wearing. Now when you see orange you think of Rickie Fowler and you think of PUMA.

Ian Poulter's Collection begins with great golf pants. When you think of Poulter you think of great golf and his famous colorful Tartan trousers worn at every tournament. To many these may just look like another pair of plaid pants. However IJP really does a wonderful job concentrating on quality and style. World champion poker player Daniel Negreanu will join Ray Romano on the Hank Haney Project on the Golf Channel May 31st at 9pm. And best of all he will be sporting some great outfits from Quagmire Golf.

At age 35 Toronto native Daniel Negreanu has racked up over $12,500,000 in winnings on the World Poker tour. Now he will get to polish his golf game with lessons from Hank Haney. So like I said, what's better than gambling and golfing? I guess Daniel's life because it's full of both!
