Another week at The Masters has come and gone, and while the winning play of Scottie Scheffler will certainly be remembered, so will much of the head-turning fashion that was on display. Certain choices once again made headlines during the year’s first major, which brought polarizing pieces, a first good look at Tiger’s brand in action and the all-around smooth and subtle style of some of the game’s best players.

So here’s a look at some of the fashion highlights, and also not-so-highlights, from Augusta this year.

This Year’s Viktor Hovland Moment

There was plenty of chatter about Sergio Garcia’s Thursday outfit – more on that in a bit – but no fashion statement made more headlines or had more people talking than Jason Day and his Malbon attire. The baggy and loud style was in full effect on Friday, when it was reported and later confirmed by Day that Augusta asked him to take off the Malbon Championship Vest he was wearing, which he did. Much like Viktor Hovland’s opening round shirt in last year’s Masters, Day’s Malbon clothes have sparked extreme opinions in every direction. And now, we know what Augusta National’s opinion of it is.

Setting The Tone

Early in the week at Augusta the vibe is light and fun, with traditional events like the family-friendly Par 3 contest and the champions dinner taking place. And that vibe made its way into the gallery with Michelle Weir, wife of former Masters champ Mike Weir, whose whole crew was decked out in Fore All outfits in green and white. The fits were fun and festive, but also showed that you don’t have to wear green just one time a year.

And bringing a whole other kind of vibe early in the week was Wyndam Clark and his Municipal polo that he wore during his press conference and practice round. It was… colorful.

All The Rest

Sergio Garcia did his best to drum up some conversation with his green and yellow outfit for Thursday’s opening round, and eventually took to social media to defend his choice to all the haters.

Luckily there were people like Rickie Fowler and Gary Woodland making slightly more subtle fashion statements with Puma’s Pique Garden shirt, which proved to be a great fit for Augusta National.

Jordan Spieth may not have had the result that he wanted, but his Under Armour Playoff 3.0 Azalea Print shirt that he wore on Friday might have been one of the sharpest ones we saw during the whole tournament. Spieth completed his look with the super comfortable-looking UA Drive Pro Golf shoe, and his new StealthForm hat that he was so excited about he posted about it on Instagram.

The Greyson crew, aka the Wolfpack, didn’t quite hang around the top of the leaderboard as much as they hoped. But Thorbjørn Olesen did manage to get some decent TV time and didn’t disappoint in the Whimsical World and the Mystic Marsh Toile polos worn throughout his tournament.

Tiger Woods was finally able to complete a tournament, and in doing so gave the world its first good look at his new Sun Day Red line in action. And while there was no flash (who needs it when you’re Tiger Woods?) there were plenty of classy styles and sharp looks all four days from the brand, which has been done in partnership with TaylorMade.

And along with finishing in solo second in his first ever major appearance, Swedish golfer Ludvig Åberg looked the part in clean and simple looks from Adidas all week, ending it with a little flare on Sunday in the Go-To Printed polo in gray. And all of his looks were made complete – and extra cool – with the Adidas Tour Five-Panel rope hat which looks comfortable, classy and sporty all at the same time.
