The drop is built around how J.Lindeberg interpret and imagine a futuristic take on golf, kept in black and white, featuring bold pieces with allover print artworks. Apart from an eye-catching design in the spirit of the brand, the promising path for the collection took an interesting turn. It was banned from the tour.
The J.Lindeberg golf ambassadors Viktor Hovland, Lee Slattery and Matt Wallace were set to play the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth wearing the new AW19 capsule - Stealth collection. This all changed when the logos were deemed too large for the course and seemingly broke all conventions of appropriate tour attire. The collection was therefore banned from the tour and the players will now be wearing pieces from the main JL AW19 Golf Line while playing at Wentworth.
This turn of events brings to mind an unruly past of J.Lindeberg. From the moment Jesper Parnevik stepped out on a golf course in Texas wearing pink trousers J.Lindeberg has continued to challenge conventions in line with Johan Lindeberg’s goal from the start: To change Golf.
